Certified Sports Guaranty® (CSG®) is once again changing the game with its latest updates, including a new label, revised grading scale, faster turnaround times, recently launched population report and more. The new CSG is here to win and ready for your submissions!

Sports card collectors and dealers alike can rely on CSG for accurate, consistent and efficient certification services backed by world-class expertise, advanced technology, innovation and operational excellence. Since launching in February 2021, CSG has already graded more than 750,000 cards and has the second-largest capacity of any third-party sports card grading service.

Aside from its industry-leading guarantee and superior grading and encapsulation services, CSG also offers many new features that add significant safety, liquidity and value to the hobby.

Black is the new green

Based on feedback from collectors and dealers, it was clear that there was overwhelming support for a new CSG certification label. The new label design features bold yet refined elements developed after months of market research, focus groups and testing. Green has been replaced by a black, silver and gold palette that will compliment any sports card. Right now, cards already encapsulated with the original green label can be resubmitted for the new CSG label for a reduced ReHolder fee of just $5 per card.* Check out the awesome response to the new CSG label >

CSG Pristine 10 is now Gem Mint 10

CSG also updated its grading scale to align more closely with the market for sports cards. As of March 25, 2022, the CSG Pristine 10 grade was replaced by CSG Gem Mint 10, which corresponds to the nomenclature used by other leading sports card grading services. The next-highest grade in the CSG Grading Scale is CSG Mint+ 9.5. CSG will continue awarding the Perfect 10 grade to only the very best cards with flawless centering, corners, edges and surfaces. Fast turnaround times

From the beginning, CSG has experienced incredible demand for its expert and impartial certification services. As a result, CSG had many packages waiting to be opened and entered into its system. In October 2021, CSG announced that it had fully caught up on the backlog of packages and now has significantly reduced turnaround times. This was accomplished by working thousands of overtime hours, alongside hiring, engaging operational efficiency consultants and investing in technology and space. The CSG Population Report is now live

Did you know that the CSG Population Report is now live at CSGcards.com? User friendly and easy to navigate on a phone, tablet or computer, the CSG Population Report is a powerful tool that provides an up-to-date catalog of the sports cards graded by CSG, organized by sport, date range and set. To determine the relative rarity of a CSG-certified sports card, collectors can use the search functionality to look up a specific card, or browse the CSG Population Report’s different categories. Display your collection in the CSG Registry

The CSG Registry is designed to be the premier online arena for sports card collecting. It’s free, fun and easy for collectors to add their CSG-certified cards to the CSG Registry using a number of popular and diverse set categories, such as pre-war baseball cards, modern basketball cards and rookie player cards. The very first CSG Registry Awards are happening in July 2022, with more than $7,000 in prizes being awarded to the best sets. The latest CSG news right in your inbox

CSG launched a free monthly eNewsletter called CSG Score in November 2021. It's your guide to upcoming events, CSG company news and the latest and greatest sports cards graded. Other regular features include Altered Card Alert, CSG Registry Featured Set and CSG Featured Card of the Month.
