When the Bulls returned to the NBA Finals three years after their three-peat, they had a team that had achieved the greatest regular season record in history, winning 72 of their 82 games. The Bulls had lost some key players from their previous Championship roster, the most notable being John Paxson, Bill Cartwright and Horace Grant, but had gained NBA superstar Dennis Rodman.

The Bulls went ahead 3-0 in the series, despite impressive performances from SuperSonics forward Shawn Kemp. In Game 6, which the Bulls won 87 to 75, Rodman played a significant role by grabbing a record-setting 19 rebounds. Jordan earned his fourth Finals MVP in the series, finishing with an average of 27.3 points per game.

When Jordan entered the 1996 playoffs, he was wearing the black, red and white — “Bred” colorway — Air Jordan XI model for the first time. During the season, Jordan had worn the black and white colorway known as the “Concord.” One of the shoe’s most notable features is its translucent sole.

The Dynasty was still alive.
