CSG To Launch Its First Podcast, "Collect This!"

On Thursday, August 4, Certified Sports Guaranty® (CSG®) is premiering “Collect This!”, its first foray into podcasting. Hosted, written and produced by veteran sports podcaster and bestselling author Alan Goldsher, “Collect This!” will engage, inform and entertain hardcore sports card collectors and casual sports fans alike.

Alan — who has hosted over 500 combined podcast episodes for DFS giant FanDuel and fractional ownership sports platform Collectable — is confident that this show will have a huge impact on the hobby. “Our blend of interviews with industry heavyweights, thoughtful storytelling, an intricate approach to production and original music will help us attract a loyal, passionate audience.”

Among the industry heavyweights scheduled to appear during the podcast’s first month are musician and collecting entrepreneur DJ Skee, former PSA President Joe Orlando and sports and pop culture appraiser Simeon Lipman (PBS’s Antiques Roadshow).

Andy Broome, Vice President of CSG, is thrilled about the company’s growing content initiative. “Over the next six months, collectors and sports fans will have the opportunity to enjoy our expanded collection of written articles, exciting videos and more podcasts. To that end, by 2023, we plan to have the hobby’s first podcast network up and running.”

A long-time sportswriter whose work has been seen in ESPN The Magazine and on NBA.com, Goldsher is the author of 16 books, and, as a ghostwriter, has collaborated on dozens of book projects with numerous celebrities and public figures. A music producer and multi-instrumentalist, Alan is also the founder of Gold Note Records, a label with which he has released seven albums.
