CSG Grades 1/1 Rookie Card of Seattle Mariners Phenom

Certified Sports Guaranty® (CSG®) has graded a stunning and incredibly rare card of Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez, a rookie who is expected to be a force in the American League for years to come. The card is now listed on eBay with bidding ending November 6, 2022; bidding had already exceeded $12,000 more than a week before the sale.

CSG authenticated the 2022 Topps Chrome Logofractor #111 Julio Rodriguez - Rose Gold 1/1 and graded it CSG Gem Mint 10. Topps Chrome is always a popular product for rookie cards, and this is one of the rarest cards of the most-sought-after player from the 2022 release.

These cards were found in exclusive Logofractor boxes that could only be purchased at Topps.com or the Major League Baseball flagship store in New York City. The Logofractor (which has MLB’s logo as part of the design) is a new parallel for the 2022 Topps Chrome line.

Sports card collector Pete Lacombe, who pulled the card from a pack, talked about why he chose CSG to grade his card. "I've heard a lot of great feedback about the slabs, the clarity, the label design — so I reached out," he said. "The slab, the label — this is beautiful."

Rodriguez was AL Rookie of the Month for May and June 2022, and was the first rookie to hit 25 homes runs and steal 25 bases. He fell just short of winning the Home Run Derby at the 2022 MLB All-Star Game and is considered to be among the strongest contenders for the AL MVP honor. In August 2022, Seattle signed him to a 14-year deal that could be worth up to $400 million.
